Late October Storm update – 1:40 p.m.
Loveland is currently experiencing a light but steady snowfall and temps are hovering around 13F, so it's bitterly cold with windchill values as low as -4.
The #NationalWeatherService is predicting that we will get another 3 to 5 inches of snow this afternoon and another couple of inches tonight.
Road conditions are currently variable – there is wet pavement in some parts of town while other roads are slushy, icy, snowy, or combination of all three. Slowing down, leaving more space and using extra caution is necessary in these conditions to increase travel safety. Conditions are expected to deteriorate as the afternoon wears on.
Plows are out removing snow and applying de-icer. Drivers SHOULD NEVER get between plows working in tandem. It is not only dangerous but illegal. Please give the plows a wide berth under all circumstances so they can safely do their jobs.
If you can stay home and off the roads, please do so!
