PFA has had a site in Grandview Cemetery for nearly 100 years. Several plots within that site serve as final resting places for firefighters and their family members. Now, only six plots remain. Thanks to a collaborative effort between PFA and the City of Fort Collins – Government, those sites have been reserved for firefighters that make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. An ossuary, a vessel or container dedicated to hold remains, was also added to the site. All firefighters, their family members and PFA civilian personnel can choose to have their ashes added to the ossuary. This offers the option for responders to remain with their firefighter brothers and sisters as well as their family. Thank you to the family members, community members, firefighters and leaders that made today's site dedication possible.
