On Sunday, we attended the 2nd annual Bags for the Blue #cornhole tournament at The Grizzly Rose. Thanks to the participants and sponsors, the event raised nearly $5K for the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation. This event would not have been possible without the hard work of ACSO Deputy Jason Ehrhardt. He put in a ton of work behind the scenes to get the tournament going and to get silent auction
Tomorrow, Sept. 12, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., an emergency response simulation will take place on Sand Creek north of Suncor’s Plant 1 in Commerce City. During the exercise, an oil containment boom will be deployed as part of a simulated release scenario. No materials will be released into the river. Local stakeholders, regulatory agencies and local government officials have been notified.

Today we honor the 9/11 victims, first responders and military personnel. We were joined by US Army Major Bruinsma, American Legion Post 183, Strasburg Fire Protection Dist. students from Hemphill Middle School, and many residents for a flag raising ceremony at the Strasburg substation. #NeverForget
