The Food Bank for Larimer County partners with many agencies and organizations around the community to address hunger. One of our partners is the Junior League of Fort Collins. One of the things this organization does for our community is provide snacks to schools that serve children in need. Larimer County Offices, Courts, and District Attorney will be closed today, January 20, 2020, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The Larimer County Landfill will be open. Critical services at #LarimerCounty are not interrupted by closures.
For many people, buying fresh, nutritious food is simply out of the question due to cost. For this reason, the Food Bank works hard to ensure that every client has access to fruits and vegetables when they visit our Fresh Food Share pantries. Fighting hunger means finding creative solutions to breaking down barriers and distributing food where it's needed most. One of the ways we do this is through our Family Medicine Center Pantry.
