2nd Annual Loveland Trees for First Responders Event, September 11th – Hosted by Loveland Fire Rescue Authority
Trees for First Responders – a new program started by Loveland business owner Jason McCarthy of Trees for Humanity and Loveland community member Sharolyn Leeper, is an effort to honor Loveland’s first responders who put their lives on the line for us. The 2nd Annual Loveland Trees for First Responders Ceremony is being hosted by Loveland Fire Rescue Authority on September 11, 2019 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Station #6 at 4325 McWhinney Boulevard, Loveland, Colorado. The public is invited to attend and help thank the Colorado State Patrol, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Loveland Police Department, and Thompson Valley EMS for their service to our community.
This is a FREE event for the public. Local area businesses will be donating refreshments for the event.
The goal for the event is to thank First Responders and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our community through improving the landscape of the city. Five trees are being planted in honor of our local first responders – at Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Station 6 (to be planted at ceremony), Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Station #5 at 251 Knobcone Dr, Thompson Valley EMS Station #2 at 380 North Wilson Avenue, and in Glen Park at 963 East 23rd Street. The trees at Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Station #5, Thompson Valley EMS Station #2, and Glen Park will be planted and available for photographing on the day of the ceremony.
