Detectives from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of a suspect in a robbery that occurred late last week.
On September 5th, 2019 at approximately 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to a “hold up” alarm at the Kentucky Fried Chicken store located at 7140 Pecos Street. Upon arrival, deputies determined that a robbery had occurred at the location. Detectives interviewed several witnesses and victims and crime scene personnel recovered and examined video surveillance footage from the location. Detectives were able to determine who the suspect was from interviews and forensic evidence. On September 6th, 2019 members of the ACSO Special Crimes Attack Team (SCAT) located the suspect in the area of 76th Avenue and Turner Street and took him into custody. Detectives interviewed the suspect, Deon Anthony Martinez, at length and subsequently charged the defendant with the robbery. The defendant was arrested and charged with:

The defendant is held at the Adams County Detention Facility pending further court proceedings.
