Detectives from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.
On August 31st, 2019 at approximately 3:05 a.m., deputies responded to an apartment at 1141 West 69th Avenue for a report of an adult male with a gunshot wound. Upon arrival deputies encountered the victim that had been shot in the arm and leg. The suspect fled the scene before the arrival of deputies and EMS. Detectives detained and questioned multiple persons and identified the suspect. Detectives subsequently located the suspect in a vehicle at 6950 Highway 2 in Commerce City. The victim was transported to an area hospital. The suspect, Julian Vigil, 27, was taken into custody and charged with the following:

• Attempted 1st degree Murder
• 1st degree Assault
This investigation is ongoing and further charges may be forthcoming.
