One Individual Arrested in Weld County
On Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at approximately 2147 hours, a deputy with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 10000 block of HWY 119.
The deputy contacted a vehicle towing a trailer with no license plate attached. The deputy, during his contact located small clear baggies with a crystal-like substance inside which tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. A K9 unit was called to the scene and alerted to the vehicle. In the vehicle two zip lock baggies of a crystal-like substance were found and tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.
The driver, 47-year-old Cory Mensen, is being charged with Unlawful Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Number Plates Furnished to be Attached. Mensen is currently in custody at the Weld County Jail.
All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in the court of law. No other information will be released at this time.
